THE COMPANY
Dranella was founded in 1956. In 2002 Fransa Clothing Company took over Dranella and the brand was relaunched in the Scandinavian markets Dranella is part of the BTX Group, which is one of the largest textile companies in Northern Europe.

The Dranella Collection Spring 1 2008
 

The collection is based on four trend stories
(delivery in January and February).
 
Newstalgia
The first story, for delivery at the beginning of January, is called Newstalgia. A very feminine story with a relaxed feeling. Romantic elements such as flounces, lace and pleats create a nostalgic look. Transparent chiffon is teamed with raw denim or casual cotton to produce the relaxed raw and feminine feeling.
 
The colours for this story lie within the range of brown shades from coffee to café latte combined with a very feminine pastel blue.
 
Clean Cut
Clean Cut is the title of the second story, for delivery at the end of January. This part of the collection has a minimalist look with clean lines and graphic prints. A very important element carrying this story is metal. Fabrics coated with metal in a greyscale colour palette emphasise the clean look. Classic suiting is used as a base for this story.
 
The colourways are shades of grey teamed with a soft cream.
 
A metallic finish is an important element on fabrics for this story.
 
Grandma's Closet
The first theme for February is named Grandma's Closet. The story title speaks for itself. This is a romantic theme with retro elements taken from the past. Handmade cross-stitch embroidery and old-fashioned jacquard knits provide the feeling of looking into grandma's closet. Fine pointelle knit with contrasting embroidery and lots of draped denim underline the romantic and at the same time very relaxed look.
 
The contrast between soft cream and black is the
overall idea behind this colour theme.
 
True Tribal
The final story, for delivery at the end of February, is called True Tribal. This is a theme containing tribal elements in prints and styling, which binds the Pre Spring collection together. Clean linen for ready-to-wear items and soft linen for dresses and skirts mark the beginning of summer, while fine knits with stripes worn with linen underlines the fresh look of the season.
 
The colour card includes olive green combined with mint green. And, as a brand new trend, you will find neon green as an accent colour used in a jersey top or as trimming.
 
The Dranella Collection Spring 1 2008
 

The collection contains four small trend stories
(delivery in March and April).
 

Raw Romance
The first theme, for delivery in March, carries the name "Raw Romance". As the title indicates, it is a raw and casual story combined with easy, feminine styles. Sand-washed denim knickerbocker trousers to be worn with a striped T-shirt add up to an easygoing look.
Very light denim with cross-stitch embroidery as skirts and dresses marks a new and very feminine way to wear denim. Fine knitwear with a retro polo look completes the relaxed look.
 

The colours complement the styling with a mix of casual and feminine colours. Khaki green mixed with a soft pink.
 
 
 

Soft Steel
The second story for March delivery is called Soft Steel. It is a story expressed by metal effects in fabrics and trimming. In this collection you will also find the more classic and tailored look mixed with very elegant dresses, tops and skirts to be worn at summer parties. Raw denim and coated linen make for a clean look together with fine pointelle jersey with metal trimming.
 

The colours for this story are a grey scale colour palette that look great with metal trim. We have added a new nearly neon yellow.
 
 
 

White View
The first theme in April is called White View. This is a white story containing heavy linen, transparent cotton and drapable viscose, all in white. White, feminine embellishments add an exclusive look. Empire cuts just below the bust are important elements in this story -
a great way to dress up for a sunny garden party.
 

The dominant colour for this story is white.
Black and soft sand are used as great accent colours to this

Equatorial
The last story of the summer, for delivery at the end of April, is called Equatorial. As the title indicates, this is a colourful collection with tropical elements. A big tropical floral print on a linen dress just longing for a warm summer. Shorts and colourful T-shirts are a must for this time of year. Dresses in light cotton fabrics with feminine trimming are great to pack in your suitcase for your summer holiday. A pair of white denim knickerbocker trousers teamed with a colourful T-shirt completes the summer holiday wardrobe.
