TERMS & CONDITIONS
(as per Distance Selling Regulations September 2006)
 
The purpose of our easy to read terms and conditions are to give our consumers (you the Buyer) confidence to buy goods and services where there is no face to face contact with us (The Seller). As per the DSRs we provide our customers with clear information so that you can make an informed choice as to whether to buy or not to buy from us. We also allow you a cancellation period and accept your returns if any item/s prove to be inappropriate or an unwanted gift. However, this does not apply to our made to measure garments such as corsets and waist cinchers. 
 
WHO ARE WE & WHAT DO WE OFFER
www.corsets-lingerie.co.uk trade in the UK under normal trading circumstances as Corsets-Lingerie. We are an online retailer based in Whitehaven, Cumbria, UK. 
 
We feature many products on our website that have been carefully selected for Online Shopping. Prices of products may change from time to time. We reserve the right to change / alter our pricing as and when we deem necessary. If items that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address or telephone number that you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order.
 

DELIVERY COSTS
Post & packing rules apply. All orders are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK - normally arrives to your door within 48-72 hours from dispatch, however, most of our items that are in stock are delivered to your door within the DSRs 30 day time limit. Please allow up to 30 days for delivery for worldwide deliveries.
 
Delivery inside and outside of the UK will be charged at a cost to the customer. This will be reflected in the final price. Customers are responsible for any customs or taxes imposed on all foreign orders outside of the UK. Our shipping charges are based on the weight of the garments to be sent to you and also the country in which we send it to. 
 
All shipments to the US and the rest of the world destinations may be subject to import duties and taxes. These may be levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. 
 
We do aim to process the majority of our orders within 72 hours however this does depend on the item/s that have been ordered. Please do allow up to 30 days for any items that you have ordered to arrive to your door (DSRs 2006 Regulations Statutory Time Limit). If you have not received your item/s within this time and have not been notified of they're delay please do get in touch with us by email or telephone (see our contact info below). If any of our item/s are lost in transit we will aim to re-send the same goods out to you at the earliest convienience or offer you a full refund including delivery charges.
 
Domestic UK orders are typically delivered in 3-10 days depending upon stock availability, postal delays, bank holidays or in busy periods (such as Christmas). As a general rule it is normally up to 30 days delivery from time of purchase for worldwide deliveries. We make every effort to fill your order promptly and aim to make all of our mainland deliveries within 1 week.
 
No contract will subsist between you and www.corsets-lingerie.co.uk for sales unless www.corsets-lingerie.co.uk accepts your order by e-mail confirming that we have processed and dispatched your item/s. Any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom. The contract will be interpretated, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England. Both parties irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. 
 
We aim to ship / dispatch your order as quickly as possible and aim to ship within 7 days to our UK customers.
 
ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT
On-line payment. Credit and debit card payments are accepted via our secure server. We currently accept Visa, Master Card, JCB Cards, Visa Electron, Maestro, Switch, Solo and American Express. 
 
We deal with your personal information in the strictest confidence and it is never passed on to any third party. Alternatively customers may pay off-line either by phoning their order along with credit /debit card details (see below), or by sending a personal cheque or postal order (UK customers only) see below.
 
Your credit card will be charged when your order is complete and authorized by us. For your protection against fraudulent credit card use, all orders are subject to 100% credit card verification, so please be sure to provide us with the correct billing information for the credit card you are using. Our inability to verify any of the provided information may result in the delay or cancellation of your order.
 
Sorry, no deliveries or returns via Cash On Delivery.
We do not accept orders by fax. This is due to a high level of fraudulent credit card use. We prefer to use our on-line secure server for your protection.
Non-Acceptance of Payment
i The product is out of stock
ii Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
iii The identification of a pricing or product description error.
 
CANCELLATION
You have the right to cancel your order at any point from the time that you order your item/s. This does not apply to Made To Measure Items (Corsets & Waist Cinchers). 
 
As per Distance Selling Regulations 2006 we require that any garment (excluding made to measure items) may be returned to us within 7 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) from the days that you, the consumer received the goods.
 
We accept cancellation of orders / returns of orders within 7 days from the day that you (the consumer) received the item. We ask consumers to contact our customer support team via email for any further information regarding returns, it is important that we receive your order cancellation in writing or by email. 
 
Once an order has been cancelled and the goods have arrived back to us safely and with no damage we will refund the consumer's money within 30 days. The consumer will be refunded the same full price of the goods however the original cost of outgoing' postage will lie with the consumer. It is also the responsibility of the consumer to pay any charges for the safe return of the unwanted goods. Any consumer that fails to return goods or sends them at a direct cost to us (the Supplier) we will charge the consumer this cost. 
 
You have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods that we send to you whilst they are in your possession. We understand that you may need to examine goods and try garments on and understand that packaging must be opened in order to do so. We do ask politely if you would return goods to us if inappropriate as you find them (un-used and not smelling of perfume / deodorant / smoke). We would appreciate it if you can send these goods back to us in the original packaging, however, we understand that these may get lost. Please ensure that the garments are not destroyed or damaged in any way. Any garment that requires a hygiene seal' such as some lingerie and undergarments we ask you to exercise reasonable care by not removing the seals when examining the garments.
 
When returning your goods in accordance with your contract you must take reasonable care to ensure that we receive the goods and that they are not damaged in transit. If we receive damaged goods or broken goods we are not obliged to accept these as an acceptable return of our goods as you have breached your statutory duty.
 
We will require all of your original details and can credit you back with your money less the cost for the outgoing postage. Postage for returns will reside with the customer and no items will be accepted without adequate postage payments.

All packages must be prepaid and insured for your own protection. Please do not mail any packages C.O.D. as they will not be accepted. 
 
Returns and exchanges will be processed within 30 working days of receipt. If you have additional questions regarding our return policy, please email us. In order to allow us to action your refund or replacement should the goods be lost or delayed in the post we will require a recorded delivery certificate. You will need to keep this certificate until you have received you refund or replacement. This protects both parties. Items that have been retained by the customer for 7 days or more from the date of shipment can not be returned reasonable' time for exchange has elapsed. This does not affect your statutory rights. 
 
Any costs for shipping / delivery will be deducted from the customers payment. All costs for returns lie with the customer and it is the customers responsibility to ensure correct delivery / postage.

We will NOT accept damages nor returns purchased in other locations other than www.corsets-lingerie.co.uk nor release any information regarding the manufacturers that we carry. For questions regarding any manufacturer(s) please contact them directly or call into the store where you purchased your item.
 
 
CORSETS
Corsets & Made to Measure Items
Please note, if you have ordered a corset or waist cincher from us, we specify that you give to us your 'exact' measurements. This is because our corsetiers have made your garment especially for you. If the case arises and you simply do not like your item when it arrives, we hold no responsibility and are not liable for refunding you as the customer. It is the customers responsibility to make sure that you give us your precise and exact measurements, as the item is no use to us anymore once it has been made for you. Once a corset has been made to these measurements it can simply not be undone and started again if it fails to fit (especially if bought as a gift) this is why it is stressed that the sizes that are given to us are very important.

All prices shown on the web site are in UK £ Sterling and are inclusive of VAT, where applicable. Prices may change and offers may be withdrawn at any time. Items offered as sets on this site may not be offered as part of a set within the store and individual prices may apply.

The personal information, which is gathered at the time of placing your order, will be used solely for the purpose of processing your order. We promise never to exchange, rent or sell your information to any third party.
